Hi, We are Lyuba and Ruben, a happily married yoga couple

We help people find peace, experience the free flow of energy and feel fully alive.

We teach hatha yoga, yoga nidra, yin yoga, & mindfulness.

I discovered yoga and meditation in 2009. From then on, it was in my life with different intensity and consistency, but always giving me new positive energy in the most challenging moments.

Yoga is my life passion and a creative outlet.

It gives me the ‘free flow’ of energy, makes my body and mind flexible, provides a different perspective on life.

Going through a burn-out in 2018 made me realise my calling. And at the beginning of 2019, I became a yoga teacher and started Free Flow. I specialise in hatha yoga, yoga Nidra and mindfulness.

  1. My name ‘Lyuba’ comes from the full name ‘Lyubov’, which means love in many Slavic languages.
  2. I was born and raised in Ukraine. Since 2009 I have lived in Norway, Finland, Belgium, Myanmar and now back in Belgium and most probably here to stay…
  3. I don’t do headstands, and I won’t teach you that. I will challenge you but never push and pull you into a pose. You should only do what makes you feel good. I will teach only what I can do myself and is safe.
  4. I’m a happily married cat lady, and together with my husband, we have five cats. Our cats are my true inspiration of wisdom and zen!
  5. When I was a child, I used to be a dancer and acted in a theatre club. For me, teaching is an excellent combination of all those old passions.
  6. I love cooking! I have rediscovered cooking and sharpened my skills since I started to follow a plant-based (vegan) diet.
  7. I’m a hard-core perfectionist, a blessing and a curse simultaneously. I try to follow the motto Better done than perfect, which I learnt through yoga.
  8. My favourite yoga poses are Warriors, Triangle and Savasana.
  9. My Sun in ♏ gives me authenticity & depth. My Ascendant in ♌ drives me to be on stage and to teach.

I am teaching for myself and keep on learning for you. I’m a certified mindfulness and yoga teacher and a coach.

Hereby are the courses I have attended so far.

Yoga, meditation and mindfulness help me to balance my energy, gain focus, clear my mind, and connect with myself. Now I’m happy to share what I learned and help others experience the benefits (yin) yoga and mindfulness.

Yoga and mindfulness became a daily part of my life in 2014. During the COVID-2019 pandemic, I studied to become a yoga teacher and incorporated the practice into my life.

My yoga and mindfulness practice helped me to discover right on time I was heading towards burnout, and it was time to slow down. During this period, I have connected to the healing energy of yin yoga. This specific yoga practice helped me to regain my energy. I followed my passion and got certified as a yin yoga teacher. At the beginning of 2023, I followed the training to become a Mindfulness teacher.

  1. As a baby, I wouldn’t stop crying because I wanted to eat all the time.
  2. I was quite hyperactive as a child, wanting to do sports all the time. As a kid, I did competitive swimming, tennis, some soccer, ping pong, running, and biking. When growing up I practised squash, long walks, gym, and high-intensity training,… and I am still always ready for discovering something new. like recently I discovered experiential dancing and Animal Flow.
  3. I did an Erasmus student exchange in Sweden, did an internship in India and lived for one year in Myanmar with Lyuba
  4. I learned about yoga and meditation in 2011 during an internship in India. I was fortunate to travel to the Himalayas and meet the Dalai Lama, which sparked my interest.
  5. When I lived in Myanmar in 2014, I got the chance to be a Buddhist monk apprentice for a short time.
  6. I like to do very active and strong yoga, but learned that there are a lot of benefits to relaxing and letting go in yin yoga
  7. My favourite poses in Yin yoga are the hanging monkey and deer poses. I have a love-hate relationship with saddle pose and
  8. My favourite poses in Hatha yoga are strong poses, like Warrior III, Half moon and chaturanga.

I really enjoy continuing to learn more about yoga and mindfulness. I’m a mindfulness and yoga teacher and a coach.

Ruben enjoys teaching yin yoga combined with restorative yoga. He likes to include aspects of mindfulness, yoga nidra, restorative yoga and pranayama in the classes.

This class is a combination of physical postures, breathing & meditation. Let your energy flow!
