Hi, I’m Lyuba. 

I help people get unstuck, experience the free flow of energy and feel fully alive.

I teach yoga & mindfulness.

MY STORY

I discovered yoga and meditation in 2009. From then on it was in my life with different intensity and consistency, but always giving me new positive energy in the most difficult moments.

Yoga is my life passion and a creative outlet.

It gives me the ‘free flow’ of energy, makes my body and mind flexible, provides a different perspective to life.

Going through a burn-out in 2018 made me realise my calling. And in the beginning of 2019 I became a yoga teacher and started Free Flow. I specialise in hatha yoga, yoga Nidra and mindfulness.

A FEW FACTS ABOUT ME

  1. My name ‘Lyuba’ comes from the full name ‘Lyubov’ which means love in many Slavic languages.
  2. I’m born and raised in Ukraine. Since 2009 I lived in Norway, Finland, Belgium, Myanmar and now back in Belgium and most probably here to stay..
  3. I don’t do headstand and I won’t teach you that. I will challenge you but never push and pull you into a pose. You should only do what makes you feel good. I will teach only what I can do myself and think is safe.
  4. I’m a happily married cat lady and together with my husband we have 5 cats. Our cats are my true inspiration of wisdom and zen!
  5. When I was a child, I used to be a dancer and acted in a theatre club. For me teaching is a great combination of all those old passions.
  6. I love cooking! I have rediscovered cooking and sharpened my skills since I started to follow a plant-based (vegan) diet.
  7. I’m a hard-core perfectionist. This is a blessing and a curse at the same time. I try to follow a motto ‘Better done than perfect’ which I learnt through yoga.
  8. My favourite yoga poses are Warriors, Triangle and Savasana.
  9. My Sun in ♏ gives me authenticity & depth. My Ascendant in ♌ drives me to be on stage and to teach.

EDUCATION

I am teaching for myself and keep on learning for you. Hereby are the courses I have attended so far.

  • Mindfulness teacher training (1,5 year) by Brussels Mindfulness (started January 2020, on-going)
  • Yoga and Traditional Chinese medicine (5 h ) certificate by Yoga International (graduated June 2020, online training)
  • Yoga Anatomy Training (20 h) certificate by Yoga International (graduated January 2020, online training)
  • Yoga Nidra Advanced Teacher Training (60 h) certificate by YogaLife (recognized by Yoga Alliance) (graduated June 2019, Belgium)
  • Hatha Yoga Teacher Training (200 h) certificate by YogaLife (recognized by Yoga Alliance) (graduated April 2019, Belgium)
  • 8-weeks Mindfulness course by Brussels Mindfulness (June 2018, Belgium)
  • Vipassana silent meditation course (10 days) (March 2018, Belgium)

WHAT I TEACH

I have attended various yoga classes from different teachers, from vinyasa to kundalini, before I realised that hatha yoga & yoga nidra are my favourites! I get my inspiration from the trainings I attend and yoga classes I follow myself. I also enjoy more active vinyasa classes so I get my inspiration from there as well.

I love to teach dynamic hatha yoga to let the energy flow.  I have also developed my own yoga nidra style where I combine a very gentle hatha flow in the beginning followed by restorative yoga nidra.
